ABOUT

For the concept of this video, we used love letters to symbolize the journey of a relationship, from the first love letter to the first apology letter, and ultimately to the final breakup letter. The video focuses on capturing the emotional moments leading up to a breakup, emphasizing the pain and conflict in the relationship. Claude is placed in a fixed position in the space, with lighting drawing attention to him as the camera spins quickly around him, intensifying the feeling of being "stuck" in the relationship. This, combined with narrative shots, creates a powerful portrayal of the couple’s struggle and emotional entrapment.

BEHIND THE SCENES

For the music video of Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot), we wrote several love letters that are hidden throughout the video. In total there are 3 different letters, each with its own story within the phase of the toxic relationship in which the music video takes place. Due to the song being released in different languages, we replaced certain scenes in the video with adjusted versions. We adapted Mathilda's love letters accordingly.

Fun fact: the kiss on the letter is done by Kay.

With Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot) being a total hit, Claude releases two alternate versions of the song: Ladada (Dernier Souffle) & Ladada (Mes Derniers Mots).

For the music video to match the language of these newly released versions, we had to reshoot certain scenes in the music video.
